Linkin Park Welcomes Emily Armstrong as New Singer, Announces ‘From Zero’ World Tour
After a significant hiatus following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington in 2017, Linkin Park has announced their return to the music scene with a new album and a world tour, featuring Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as their new vocalist. Armstrong, known for her powerful voice and energetic stage presence, has been gradually integrated into the band over the past seven years.
The band’s new album, titled “From Zero,” is set to release on November 15, 2024, marking their first full-length effort since 2017’s “One More Light.” This new chapter for Linkin Park includes not only Armstrong but also drummer Colin Brittain, who joins returning members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and Joe Hahn. Notably, guitarist Alex Feder will be filling in for Delson at all concerts for the foreseeable future, and drummer Rob Bourdon has decided to exit the band.
Linkin Park’s “From Zero World Tour” will kick off in January 2025 and will span across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, including several festival performances such as the Sick New World Festival and Nova Rock. The tour will also include stops in major cities like Detroit, where they will perform at Little Caesars Arena on August 14, 2025, and Grand Rapids, where they will play at Van Andel Arena on May 1, 2025.
The band’s comeback has been met with significant enthusiasm, with their recent single “The Emptiness Machine” reaching No. 1 on both the Billboard Alternative and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts. This resurgence in popularity highlights Linkin Park’s enduring influence in the rock music scene.
Tickets for the “From Zero World Tour” will go on sale on November 21 for North America and November 22 for Europe. Fans can look forward to a dynamic and emotional performance as Linkin Park embarks on this new journey with Emily Armstrong at the helm.
