London Fashion Week Begins with Bold Designs and Iconic Attendees

London, England — London Fashion Week commenced on Thursday, welcoming fashion enthusiasts for five days of runway shows and events that unveils the trends for autumn/winter 2025.

Florence Pugh opened Harris Reed‘s show in a dramatic hooded black gown, captivating the audience with her striking look and bold makeup featuring feathery lash extensions. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2020, Reed has carved a niche for himself in the world of gender-fluid fashion, with collections known for exaggerated silhouettes and sculptural details.

Later on Thursday, Central Saint Martins presented its MA exhibition, showcasing the talent from one of the world’s most prestigious fashion schools. Alumni from this institution include renowned designers such as Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, and Simone Rocha, all of whom have left a significant mark on the fashion industry.

On Friday morning, Paul Costelloe presented his latest line at Palm Court in The Waldorf, drawing a crowd of fashion elites and celebrities. Notable attendees included social media influencers Phoebe and Daisy Tomlinson, who wore matching pink tweed ensembles, and model Jodie Kidd, who sported a dramatic pleated cape.

Friday night’s highlight was Richard Quinn‘s winter wonderland-themed show at Royal Horticultural Halls, where models paraded in sparkling gowns amidst artificial snow. Prominent figures, including Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer, donned coordinating attire for the event.

Other celebrities present included singers Maisie Peters, Nicola Roberts, and actor Sebastian Croft. The eclectic mix of attendees showcased the event’s unique position in both fashion and popular culture.

On Saturday evening, Annie Doble showcased her collection at the Institution of Civil Engineers. Inspired by 15th-century Renaissance Italy, her presentation featured vintage-inspired gold dresses and chainmail designs. Doble, who began her career selling clothes on eBay, has dressed celebrities such as Kate Moss and Taylor Swift in her signature sparkling styles.
