London Premiere of ‘Smile 2’ Draws Excitement and Stars
The eagerly awaited sequel to the 2022 horror hit, ‘Smile’, has made its grand premiere in London. ‘Smile 2‘, directed by Parker Finn, follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, expanding on the terrifying concept of a demonic presence embodied by a sinister grin. The film opens nationwide on October 18th, 2024, amid much anticipation from horror fans.
The red carpet event took place at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, where stars Lukas Gage and Naomi Scott were seen charming the crowd with their elegant attire. Scott, who portrays pop sensation Skye Riley, dazzled in an oversized black blazer paired with a buttoned-up white shirt and a chain-jeweled skirt. Gage, known for his role in ‘Euphoria‘, complemented her style with a double-breasted blazer and black trousers.
Naomi Scott’s character Skye Riley faces an onslaught of terrifying and unexplainable events while preparing for a global tour. The narrative explores themes of fame, horror, and psychological unraveling, promising to deliver the spine-chilling experience that fans expect from the franchise.
Lukas Gage, who plays Skye’s mysterious acquaintance Lewis, showed gentlemanly conduct by ensuring Scott’s attire was red carpet-ready. Besides their professional rapport, the actors displayed great camaraderie during the premiere.
Director Parker Finn returns to helm the sequel following the surprising box office success of the original ‘Smile’, which grossed $217 million worldwide on a modest budget of $17 million. Finn, whose previous work includes the short film ‘Laura Hasn’t Slept’, regards ‘Smile 2’ as an opportunity to delve deeper into the haunting universe that first intrigued audiences in 2022.
Outside the professional scene, Lukas Gage recently made headlines with his candid remarks about his personal life, including his open discussion about his sexuality and past relationships during an interview. Gage’s presence at the premiere was further emphasized by his reflections on fame and personal growth shared with media outlets recently.
