The ongoing saga of thrilling encounters in the IPL 2024 continued as the Lucknow Super Giants faced off against the Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Stadium. Lucknow won the toss and elected to bowl, putting Mumbai in to bat. The Mumbai team did not have a good start, losing three wickets for just 24 runs in the initial overs of play.

Birthday boy Rohit Sharma was the first to depart, managing only 4 runs before returning to the pavilion. Suryakumar Yadav also struggled, scoring just 10 runs. Captain Hardik Pandya failed to open his account, leaving Mumbai reeling at 24 for 3. Ishan Kishan and Nehal Wadhera then came together to stabilize the innings, putting on a 53-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
