Luke Bryan Works Shift at Raising Cane’s for Charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music star Luke Bryan surprised customers at a Raising Cane’s this week by working a shift behind the counter, all in support of a charitable cause. On April 8, Bryan helped launch a $1 million donation from Raising Cane’s founders to The Brett Boyer Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving conditions for babies diagnosed with congenital heart defects (CHD) and Down syndrome.
With his signature charm, Bryan took orders at the counter and served customers at the drive-thru, donning a complete Raising Cane’s uniform. The initiative was particularly meaningful to Bryan, whose family co-founded the charity in memory of his late niece, Sadie Brett Boyer.
“The Brett Boyer Foundation is a family charity, and I’ve watched this Foundation grow over the years thanks to supporters like Todd,” Bryan said in a statement. “CHD doesn’t get talked about enough, and the fact that Brett’s name lives on and is doing so much good for kids who need it helps us ensure no kid ever receives a diagnosis like Brett’s again.”
Bryan emphasized the foundation’s impact, stating that they currently know of 36 children alive today due to its assistance and aspire to expand that number to thousands. “We’re so thankful to Todd and Raising Cane’s for such a generous donation,” he added. The $1 million pledge from Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves aims to fund research that could change lives for families affected by these conditions.
The Brett Boyer Foundation was established in honor of Sadie, who lived only seven months due to her conditions. Her parents, Ellen and Bo Boyer, along with Bryan and his wife Caroline, aim to provide support and raise awareness for families in similar situations.
“Not only is CHD not talked about enough, but people rarely realize the strain it puts on parents and siblings,” Bryan said. “Family is at the heart of this, and so many are in hospitals not knowing the future of their kids’ lives.”
In an interview, Graves spoke about the importance of funding research to save lives. “Congenital heart defects — can you imagine having a child with that? They’re getting research done that is saving lives now and is gonna save so many more lives in the future,” he said.
Videos of Bryan’s shift show him laughing and interacting with customers, as well as taking photos and giving autographed memorabilia to fans. Bryan’s involvement further highlights the crucial work being done through The Brett Boyer Foundation to support affected families and provide resources for ongoing research.
The partnership between Bryan and Raising Cane’s showcases the powerful impact celebrities can have in promoting charitable endeavors, bringing both awareness and support to causes that profoundly affect individuals and families around the nation.
