BUFFALO, N.Y. — A massive fire engulfing the Paul William Beltz law firm office building at 36 Church Street prompted a four-alarm response from Buffalo firefighters on May 1, 2025. The blaze, which started shortly before 12:30 p.m., led to significant smoke billowing into the air, compelling officials to close Church Street between Delaware Avenue and Pearl Street.
