25-Man Battle Royal Set for NXT Next Week

TAMPA, Florida – Next week on WWE NXT, a 25-Man Battle Royal will determine the next No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship. The event will take place on May 25, 2025, at WWE Battleground, where the winner will face current champion Oba Femi.

NXT General Manager Ava announced the battle royal to Trick Williams, stating it is the only way he can earn his long-desired one-on-one match with Femi. While Williams is the only confirmed participant so far, more names from NXT, along with talent from WWE EVOLVE, WWE LFG, and TNA Wrestling, are expected to compete.

The lineup graphic suggests numerous participants; however, some notable names, including TNA stars and Jasper Troy and Anthony Luke from LFG, may not yet be included. Joe Hendry, a TNA star, is confirmed for next week’s episode, where he will team with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger against three members of the DarkState faction. DarkState attacked Hendry during a recent episode, prompting the tag team champions to support him in this upcoming match.

In another development, a No. 1 Contender’s match for the NXT Women’s Championship will feature Jordynne Grace facing Giulia. The winner will advance to face Stephanie Vaquer at Battleground.

Additionally, Kelani Jordan will face ZARIA, with the chance to earn a title shot against Sol Ruca for the Women’s North American Championship on the line. Fans are encouraged to share their predictions for next week’s matches in the comments section.
