Man Stabbed in San Jose’s Santana Row Dies from Injuries

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A man fatally injured in a stabbing at Santana Row on Friday night has died, San Jose police reported Saturday.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Santana Row, a popular shopping and dining area. Witnesses reported the victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries around 9:30 a.m. the following morning, marking the third homicide in San Jose for 2025.
Olsen Drive, which runs adjacent to the crime scene, was closed from Winchester Boulevard to Hatton Street for several hours as officials conducted their investigation. The San Jose Police Department advised residents and motorists to avoid the area during this time.
As of Saturday afternoon, police have not released details regarding a suspect or motive for the stabbing. Investigators continue to work on the case, gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses.
Authorities noted that the recent incident follows another homicide that occurred just two days prior in a different area of the city, where a man was shot in a residential neighborhood near Canoas Creek.
This latest case has raised concerns in the community about safety in popular areas like Santana Row.
“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time,” said a San Jose Police spokesperson. “We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.”
No further details were disclosed as the investigation is ongoing. The San Jose Police Department is asking anyone who may have information related to this incident to contact them directly.
