Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh marked his 92nd birthday on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Manmohan Singh served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014, leading the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. Prior to his tenure as Prime Minister, he was the Finance Minister in Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao’s administration from 1991 to 1996, during which he spearheaded major economic reforms that are credited with ending the era of socialist policies in India.
