Mark Guiducci Vanity Fair Appointment

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Mark Guiducci has been appointed as the first global editorial director of Vanity Fair, effective June 30. He comes from Vogue, where he served as creative editorial director since 2020.

Guiducci takes over from Radhika Jones, who has led Vanity Fair for over seven years. In her departure, Jones expressed satisfaction with the goals she accomplished, saying she has a “horror of staying too long at the party.”

In his new role, Guiducci will manage the creative and editorial direction of Vanity Fair’s editions worldwide, which include the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain. He will be based in New York City.

This position marks a significant return for Guiducci, who began his career at Vanity Fair as an assistant to the managing editor after graduating from Princeton University. He worked for the magazine from 2010 to 2012.

Anna Wintour, chief creative officer of Condé Nast, praised Guiducci, calling him an “energetic and creative editor” who is sure to enhance the publication in numerous ways. Wintour expressed her confidence in his leadership and vision for the magazine.

Guiducci commented on his new role, stating, “The world today is spinning faster than ever, as the forces of Hollywood, politics, the arts, money, and style collide. At the center of it all is Vanity Fair.” He highlighted the honor of returning to the publication he views as an extraordinary journalism school.

Before working at Vogue, Guiducci was the editor-in-chief of GARAGE, where he led the digital transformation of the biannual art publication. He emphasized his lifelong passion for editorial work, inspired by the editors around him.
