Marvel Rivals March 2025 Patch Update

REDMOND, Wash. — NetEase Games announced a new patch for Marvel Rivals scheduled for March 13, 2025, just a week after the previous update. This patch will introduce several balance adjustments for heroes, optimize gameplay for PC players, and launch new Twitch Drops.

The update goes live at 5 a.m. ET and promises to enhance player experience without any server downtime. Players need only to download the update to apply the changes before launching the game.

“This is the first time we are implementing mid-season balance adjustments that are not primarily bug fixes,” a developer stated. “Our goal is to optimize the experience for a select few heroes to keep the meta diverse as we approach Season 2.”

The planned patch includes bug fixes for various heroes, along with new cosmetic rewards for watching Marvel Rivals streams on Twitch. Starting March 14, players can earn Adam Warlock-themed items such as a Spray, Nameplate, and Costume by tuning in to participating channels.

In addition, players can look forward to two new skins: Loki‘s Presidential Attire and Storm‘s Goddess of Thunder outfit, set to be available at 9 p.m. ET on March 13.

“By keeping our update pace consistent, we ensure players always have something new to explore, preventing significant issues from persisting for long periods,” said a team spokesperson. However, player feedback indicates that many are still waiting for more substantial changes.

Social media reflects a mix of anticipation and frustration, with players expressing desires for adjustments to various heroes, including requests to buff or nerf characters like Moon Knight and Spider-Man. Moreover, a notable complaint remains the unresolved bug affecting Black Panther‘s dash ability.

The update also addresses a commonly raised issue surrounding the need for enhanced PC performance, as players continue to experience crashes and a drop in frame rates. The developers acknowledged this concern but did not provide specific details on when these optimizations would be implemented in full.

The Marvel Rivals team continues to develop the game by listening to community feedback and plans to introduce new heroes and Team-Up abilities for Season 2, slated for release in April 2025.

As the esports gaming community speculates about future improvements, this latest patch for Marvel Rivals signifies a commitment to enhancing gameplay and responsiveness to player demands.
