2025 Masters Golf Tournament Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The azaleas are beginning to bloom as the 2025 Masters Tournament is set to commence on Thursday, April 10, at Augusta National Golf Club. This prestigious event, regarded as the first major of the PGA Tour season, features world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as the reigning champion and betting favorite.

Scheffler, a two-time green jacket winner, has odds of +400 to win again, despite earlier odds peaking at +480. As bettors prepare for the tournament, a variety of prop bets are available, with Scheffler sitting at +105 to finish in the top five and a staggering -550 to finish in the top 20 after previously being as low as -800.

“Course knowledge plays a critical role,” said betting analyst Cohen, highlighting the importance of familiarity with Augusta’s challenging layout. “Understanding the trends at the Masters can offer significant advantages.”

The Masters kicks off early, with the first tee times set for 7:40 a.m. ET on Thursday. Scheffler is scheduled to tee off at 10:15 a.m. ET alongside Justin Thomas and amateur Jose Luis Ballester. Notable competitors this year include Rory McIlroy (+650), Jon Rahm (14-1), Collin Morikawa (16-1), and Ludvig Aberg (18-1).

Cohen has made headlines for his successful predictions, having correctly identified the outright winners in seven major tournaments over the last two seasons. His new eight-leg parlay for the Masters promises a payout of over $1.1 million for a $10 bettor.

One standout in Cohen’s picks is Patrick Reed, who he predicts will finish in the top 20 at +260 odds. Reed, a past Masters champion, has demonstrated consistent performance at Augusta with multiple top-12 finishes in recent appearances.

“Reed’s history at Augusta is impressive. He has gained a combined 20 strokes on the greens over the last five years,” Cohen noted. “His track record suggests that a top-20 bet is a safe choice.”

As the anticipated event draws near, the excitement surrounding potential long-shot bets also intensifies. Golf analysts expressed interest in McIlroy, who is looking to complete his career Grand Slam, amidst declining odds on his previous competitors.

“This year feels different for McIlroy,” said betting expert Brian Giuffra, highlighting McIlroy’s recent victories and strong form. “He’s playing the best golf we’ve seen in over a decade.”

The Masters week presents a unique betting environment, offering various prop and head-to-head matchups. Analyst Cody Williams emphasized the thrill of Masters week betting, stating, “The anticipation and live betting options make this an unparalleled experience.”

With a myriad of storylines heading into the tournament, including LIV Golf players, past champions, and rising stars, experts urge bettors to keep a close eye on unpredictable matchups and historical performances as they finalize their picks for the iconic event.
