Dallas Mavericks Memphis Grizzlies Game Preview

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Dallas Mavericks (39-42) and Memphis Grizzlies (47-34) meet on April 13 for the final game of the NBA regular season, with both teams contending for postseason positioning in the Western Conference.

As the playoffs approach, Memphis looks to bounce back from a two-game losing streak while Dallas hopes to build momentum after a recent win. A victory for the Grizzlies could provide a more favorable seeding as they prepare for the Play-In Tournament.

Star point guard Ja Morant has been a focal point for Memphis, averaging 29.8 points per game on 50% shooting since March 5. In April, he has stepped up his game, scoring over 30 points in three out of five games. “I’m just trying to build consistency as we head into the playoffs,” Morant said.

Morant is listed as day-to-day due to shoulder soreness but is expected to play unless he fails his medical evaluations prior to tip-off. “We want to take care of him, but he’s important for us moving forward,” said Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks are fighting to maintain their playoff chances as they currently sit in the 10th position in the West. StatMuse reveals that Morant has performed well against Dallas, averaging 23.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in 10 matchups. His best game against the Mavericks came last season, where he scored 35 points.

The matchup will take place at FedExForum, with tip-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the live broadcast on FDSSE, KFAA, and WMC-TV, or stream the game on NBA League Pass and Fubo TV.

As the 2025 NBA season concludes, excitement fills the air with all teams competing for final playoff spots. With seven seeds still unclaimed in the West, today’s action is bound to be thrilling.
