Rory Mcilroy Pebble Beach Pro Am 2025

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, two of golf’s biggest stars, are set to battle Sepp Straka in a dramatic final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Straka, the 54-hole leader, holds a one-shot advantage over the Irish duo after a gritty 2-under 70 in brutal weather conditions Saturday.

McIlroy and Lowry both carded bogey-free 65s to climb into contention, showcasing their resilience on a day when relentless wind and rain battered the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. Straka, who briefly lost his lead after a triple-bogey scare on the 10th hole, recovered with four birdies in his final five holes to reclaim the top spot at 16-under par.

“It might suit me somewhat, but I don’t enjoy it,” Lowry said of the challenging conditions. “I live in Florida for a reason. I think my game is well-equipped to handle these conditions, and I go out there with no fear.”

The final round promises high drama, with six players within two shots of the lead, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who sits six strokes back. McIlroy, who has struggled on the West Coast in recent years, expressed excitement about being in contention early in the season. “It’s really cool to be in contention this early in the season,” he said.

Sunday’s final pairing will feature Straka, McIlroy, and Lowry, who are all teammates from the 2023 Ryder Cup. The trio will tee off at 1:45 p.m. PT, with the tournament broadcast live in primetime, offering golf fans a rare opportunity to watch the sport’s elite compete without football competition.

This year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am marks the second Signature Event of the PGA Tour season, a series designed to showcase the game’s top talent at iconic venues. Saturday’s action delivered on that promise, with players battling both the elements and one another in a thrilling display of skill and determination.

As the final round approaches, all eyes will be on Pebble Beach, where history could be made. Will Straka secure his second win of the season? Can McIlroy or Lowry claim victory on one of golf’s most storied courses? The stage is set for a memorable Sunday.
