Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $301 Million: Winning Numbers Revealed

DETROIT, Mich. — The latest Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $301 million after no winning tickets were sold in the previous drawing. The winning numbers for Tuesday, March 18, 2025, are 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, with the Mega Ball being 24 and a Megaplier of 3X.
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday, March 21, at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets for the game can be purchased until 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw in Michigan, while in New York, the cutoff is 10 p.m.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play, with an additional $1 for the Megaplier option, which can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times. The odds of winning the jackpot, however, remain steep at 1 in 302,575,350.
Those lucky enough to match all six numbers can choose between a cash option of $140 million and an annuity option, which offers one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year. As the Mega Millions website indicates, “This helps protect winners’ lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation.”
If multiple winners emerge from the same drawing, the jackpot is equally divided among all winning tickets.
According to lottery officials, the last jackpot winner was recorded on January 17, when a ticket from Arizona won $113 million. Only four tickets have matched all six numbers throughout 2024, marking the lowest number of jackpots won in a single year since the game’s inception in 2002.
“The excitement builds with every drawing, and players are eagerly awaiting the next chance to strike it rich,” said a representative from the Michigan Lottery. “We encourage everyone to play responsibly.”
Players can purchase tickets at various locations including gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores, with some states even allowing online purchases via authorized platforms.
For the eagerly anticipated drawing, players choose five numbers from a set of white balls ranging from 1 to 70, and one Mega Ball, which ranges from 1 to 25. If players are unsure of their numbers, they can opt for a “Quick Pick,” where numbers are randomly generated by the lottery terminal.
