Memphis Football Quarterback Signing Nfl Contract

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis football quarterback Seth Henigan has officially signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent after going unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Henigan, who started 50 games during his college career, earned his starting position as a true freshman in 2021. He remained with the Tigers throughout his collegiate career, a notable feat in today’s college football landscape.

His tenure at Memphis showcases a strong track record. Henigan won 34 games as a starter and is recognized as one of the top quarterbacks in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). He holds records as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns, and numerous other major statistics, highlighting both his longevity and productivity.

A Texas high school state champion from Denton Ryan High School, Henigan has proven success at both the high school and college levels. His football IQ has impressed coaches and scouts, particularly his ability to read defenses effectively.

Despite being an effective runner at Memphis, Henigan possesses average athleticism and has been noted for needing improvement in pocket awareness and decision-making. Throughout his collegiate career, he passed for 14,278 yards, ranking him No. 13 in all-time NCAA passing.

His strongest performance came during his junior year, where he recorded 3,883 passing yards, along with 32 touchdowns and nine interceptions. In the 2024 season, he threw for 25 touchdowns, marking a career-low of five interceptions.
