Memphis Tigers Auburn Basketball Game

ATLANTA — The Memphis Tigers prepare to face the Auburn Tigers in an exhibition game at State Farm Arena on Oct. 30. Both teams are looking to bounce back after losses in their previous preseason matchups.

Memphis is coming off a 99-75 defeat against the No. 14 Arkansas Razorbacks on Oct. 27. The game featured a standout performance from Dug McDaniel, who scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals. Despite leading by as much as 15 points in the first half, Memphis could not maintain their advantage as Arkansas surged ahead in the second half.

Auburn, coached by Steven Pearl, also seeks to redeem itself after a narrow 97-95 overtime loss to Oklahoma State on Oct. 15. Keyshawn Hall, a transfer from UCF, was instrumental in that game, scoring 26 points in the effort.

The exhibition will highlight a rather pro-Auburn crowd expected at State Farm Arena. Memphis’ starting lineup will feature McDaniel, Zach Davis, Julius Thedford, Ashton Hardaway, and Thierno Sylla, while Auburn will present Abdul Bashir, Kaden Magwood, Hall, Sebastian Williams-Adams, and Filip Jovic to begin the contest.

In the earlier game on the same night, the South Carolina women’s basketball team defeated North Carolina 91-82, setting a competitive tone for the evening.

The clash between Memphis and Auburn is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. Central Time. Fans can follow the action and receive live updates throughout the game for this exciting exhibition matchup.
