Us Men's National Team Gold Cup

San Jose, California — The United States Men’s National Team kicks off its quest for an eighth Concacaf Gold Cup title on Sunday, June 15, against Trinidad and Tobago at PayPal Park. This match is the first of three group stage games for the team.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino unveiled the roster, featuring a blend of seasoned players and new talent. Miles Robinson, who played a crucial role in the 2021 Gold Cup final, joins veteran defenders like Walker Zimmerman and Tim Ream, as well as goalkeeper Matt Turner. The current squad is the third youngest in history for the U.S. during the Gold Cup.

The USMNT aims to maintain its historical dominance in the tournament, securing victory in the group stage 16 out of 17 times and boasting a 40-1-5 record overall.

Historically, the U.S. has excelled against Trinidad and Tobago, winning 17 out of 18 matches on home soil. Their most recent encounter occurred in November 2023 during the Concacaf Nations League, where Trinidad and Tobago edged out the U.S. 2-1, taking advantage of the U.S. playing a man down for over 50 minutes.

The team’s next matches include Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 19, and Haiti on Sunday, June 22, both in Texas. The U.S. last faced Saudi Arabia in September 2022, ending in a scoreless draw.

The Gold Cup quarterfinals are scheduled for June 28-29 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with the final slated for July 6 at NRG Stadium in Houston. Defending champions Mexico, who won the last tournament, are also in the running.

Fans can watch the Gold Cup games on FOX, FS1, and FS2, with streaming available through various platforms including YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV.
