Michael Rapaport Warns Jewish Community: ‘The Cavalry Ain’t Coming’

LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Michael Rapaport delivered a fiery warning to the Jewish community during a recent podcast, stressing that help is not on the way amid rising antisemitic violence. His comments follow a series of violent attacks against Jewish people and the broader public’s perceived lack of response.
Rapaport, 55, voiced his frustrations on the “I Am Rapaport: Stereo Podcast” on Tuesday, saying, “The cavalry ain’t coming. They don’t give a f—.” His remarks came after a recent attack in Boulder, Colorado, where terror suspect Mohamed Soliman allegedly used a homemade flamethrower against pro-Israel demonstrators, injuring 12 individuals.
Soliman, an Egyptian national living in the U.S. illegally, reportedly expressed deep-seated hatred towards Jewish people and now faces federal hate crime charges, along with multiple counts of attempted murder. The public outcry over such incidents seems to be lacking, according to Rapaport.
“It’s sad, it’s frustrating,” he lamented. “You feel used. You feel manipulated. You feel like a sucker. I feel like it too!” The actor expressed disappointment in the lack of solidarity from non-Jewish individuals, especially given his past advocacy for other marginalized groups.
Rapaport referenced his activism during the Black Lives Matter movement and wondered out loud if he was naive for supporting those causes when he feels the same support is not reciprocated for the Jewish community. “Don’t you feel like an a—— for putting up a black square during Black Lives Matter when nobody is coming and saying anything on our behalf?” he questioned.
His comments highlight a growing concern among many in the Jewish community regarding the increase in antisemitism and the response—or lack thereof—from wider society, as they continue to face escalating threats and violence.
