Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil infrastructure projects worth over Rs 29,000 crore in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The projects include new platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Station.

On July 13, PM Modi will visit Mumbai to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects at NESCO Exhibition Centre, Goregaon. The total value of the projects is more than Rs 29,400 crore and encompasses developments in the road, railways, and ports sector.

The event will witness the unveiling of new platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and an extension of Platform no 10 & 11 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Station. These infrastructural upgrades aim to enhance transportation connectivity and efficiency in Mumbai.

Among the key projects to be launched is the Thane-Borivali tunnel, a nearly 12-km long tunnel passing below Sanjay Gandhi National Park, connecting Western Express Highway at Borivali to Thane Ghodbander Road. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the two locations.

The Goregaon Mulund Link Road project, valued at over Rs 6,300 crore, will provide road connectivity between Western Express Highway at Goregaon and Eastern Express Highway at Mulund. This development is crucial for improving traffic flow and connectivity in Mumbai.

Additionally, the Kalyan Yard remodelling project and the Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal in Navi Mumbai will further enhance the efficiency of railway operations and cargo handling in the region. These initiatives will create job opportunities and boost economic growth.

PM Modi will also launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana, a skill enhancement program targeting youth unemployment. The program aims to provide valuable industry exposure and training to individuals aged 18 to 30 years.

Lastly, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the INS Towers at the Indian Newspaper Society Secretariat in Bandra Kurla Complex. The new towers are designed to meet the modern operational needs of the newspaper industry in Mumbai, serving as a central hub for media activities.
