Liverpool, England – Mohamed Salah has made Premier League history by winning the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards for the 2024/25 season. The star player concluded the campaign with a remarkable 29 goals and 18 assists, leading the league in both categories.
Salah’s performance this season not only helped Liverpool secure the Premier League title but also saw him finish six goals ahead of Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, who was the second-highest scorer. This achievement marks the fourth time Salah has been crowned the Premier League’s top scorer, tying him with Thierry Henry for the most Golden Boot titles in league history.
The Playmaker award recognizes the player with the most assists in the league, and Salah led with 18 assists, six more than any other player. He previously won both awards in the 2021/22 season. Salah is now the only player to have won the Golden Boot, Playmaker, and EA SPORTS Player of the Season awards in a single campaign.
On Saturday, Salah was also honored as the EA SPORTS Player of the Season, becoming only the fifth player to win this accolade twice, joining the ranks of Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidic, and Kevin De Bruyne. His achievement illustrates his consistent excellence on the pitch, particularly this season where he has been pivotal in Liverpool’s success.
In a record-setting season, Salah matched the all-time record for combined goals and assists in a single season, totaling 47. He tied with Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole, who previously held the record in 1994/95 and 1993/94 respectively.
As Liverpool celebrated their championship victory, Salah’s final goal on the last game day against Crystal Palace itself was a testament to his influence throughout the season. The club will cherish his contributions as they head into the next season with aspirations for further triumphs.
