Monster Jam Roars into North Charleston This Weekend

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – This weekend, North Charleston will be filled with the sound of roaring engines and vibrant crowds as Monster Jam takes over the North Charleston Coliseum. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday and continues through the weekend, featuring intense competitions among eight monster trucks.
Competitors will face off in three events: racing, two-wheel skills, and freestyle, showcasing their driving talents and the capabilities of their massive machines. Ashley Sanford, the driver of the truck Megalodon, emphasized that attendees are in for an exhilarating experience. “If you have not been to one of these events before, expect the unexpected,” she stated. “Especially right now, we are in a championship chase. It is hot. Every time we get in our monster jam trucks, we are pushing the limits because there are real points to be earned.”
Weston Anderson, who drives the legendary Grave Digger, echoed Sanford’s excitement about the event. “Our final competition we jump into is my personal favorite – monster jam freestyle. We have 75 seconds to go out there on the track and tear it up. That’s where we see all the crazy crashes, all the crazy backflips, the corkscrews, and then whatever we dream up whenever we hit that track,” he said. “You never know what’s going to happen, man.”
The event promises to be a spectacle for fans of all ages, filled with high-energy performances and adrenaline-pumping action. Tickets for the event are still available, and those who cannot attend in person can watch online. For more details, including ticket information, fans can visit the official Monster Jam website.
