Montana Millionaire Lottery Tickets Sale

Convenience stores across Montana are gearing up for a hectic Friday morning as tickets for the annual “Montana Millionaire” lottery go on sale starting at 5:30 a.m. on November 1, 2024. This year, the statewide lottery is offering 500,000 tickets, with four million-dollar prizes and numerous smaller prizes up for grabs.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, given the high demand. Last year, 380,000 tickets sold out in just about five hours. Store managers like Tammi Pritchett of Town and Country Supply in Billings Heights are preparing for the influx of customers. Pritchett’s store is particularly popular this year, having sold one of the three million-dollar tickets last year.

Other stores, such as McFiny’s on 17th Street West in Billings, are also bracing for the crowd. McFiny’s has a history of selling winning tickets and is anticipating long lines and a fast-paced environment. Store clerk Tegan Almendinger expressed excitement about the rush, noting that it adds to the excitement of the day.

In addition to the four $1 million prizes, the lottery offers a $250,000 prize, 2,300 prizes for $500, and 4,500 prizes for $100. To ensure a smooth process, stores are bringing in extra help and reminding customers to follow the rules, which include being present when the ticket is printed and not attempting to reserve tickets ahead of time.
