Montreal Canadiens’ Kaiden Guhle Cleared for NHL Opening Night
Kaiden Guhle, the promising young defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens, is set to play in the NHL’s Opening Night against Toronto. This follows his recent recovery from an appendectomy. As reported by Kenzie Lalonde of TSN, the 22-year-old participated in practice on Tuesday, indicating his readiness for the upcoming match.
Guhle had undergone surgery on September 18 to have his appendix removed but made a swift return, participating in Montreal’s preseason finale against the Ottawa Senators this past Saturday. The defenseman had a notable season last year, contributing six goals and 22 points, alongside an impressive 95 shots on net, 178 blocked shots, and 116 hits over a span of 70 games. He is expected to take on a significant role on Montreal’s top defensive pairing this season.
