Multiple Food Product Recalls Announced Due to Safety Concerns

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Four food product recalls have been announced since March 2025, affecting various items sold at Walmart and other retailers, according to reports from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
On May 2, 2025, Vietti Food Group of Nashville, Tennessee, recalled 4,515 cases of 15 oz. Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans due to undeclared soy. The company stated, “Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.” No illnesses have been reported, but customers are advised to return the product for a full refund.
Prior to that, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc., based in Oxnard, California, issued a precautionary advisory on April 10, 2025. This advisory concerned a production lot of Marketside Celery Sticks due to potential Listeria contamination discovered during routine testing. The affected product is a 4-count pack of celery sticks, and consumers are warned to discard any frozen items.
Frito-Lay reported a recall on March 26, 2025, for specific 13 oz. bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips because some bags may contain undeclared milk, presenting a risk for individuals with milk allergies.
Additionally, Nestlé announced on March 17, 2025, a voluntary recall for certain Lean Cuisine and STOUFFER’S frozen meals due to the possible presence of wood-like material. Customers have been urged to check for specific batch numbers on the packaging and return any affected items for a refund.
Walmart has reiterated its commitment to customer safety, emphasizing that it works swiftly to remove recalled items from stores. As stated, “Walmart and Sam’s Club are committed to the health and safety of our customers.”
