Muppets Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Disney's Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World has announced a significant transformation at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with The Muppets set to take over the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster attraction. This change is part of a broader redevelopment that includes the introduction of a new Monsters Inc. Land, which will replace the current Muppets Courtyard and the iconic Muppet*Vision 3D.

The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, previously themed around Aerosmith, will be reimagined into a “rock music festival experience” featuring The Muppets. The new attraction will see the Muppets teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars, promising a humorous and chaotic take on rock stardom that aligns with the Muppets’ trademark style.

While the exact timeline for the transformation has not been announced, Disney has assured guests that there is still time to enjoy both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Muppet*Vision 3D before the changes take place. The closure of Muppet*Vision 3D, which opened in 1991 and was one of the last projects worked on by Jim Henson, has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Some are saddened by the loss of this nostalgic attraction, while others are excited about the new Monsters Inc. Land and the Muppets’ new role in the park.

Disney is exploring ways to preserve elements of Muppet*Vision 3D for future enjoyment, though the specifics remain unclear. The new Monsters Inc. Land, themed around Monstropolis, will include new attractions, retail, and dining locations, further enhancing the park’s offerings.
