NAIA Recognizes Outstanding Performers in Softball and Men’s Lacrosse
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has recently honored standout athletes in both softball and men’s lacrosse. Cassandra Valdez from Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) received recognition for her exceptional pitching skills, while Miranda Carnell of Bethel (Tenn.) was acknowledged for her outstanding performance on the field.
Valdez, a graduate student and right-handed pitcher, was named the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week for her impressive contributions to her team’s success. On the other hand, Carnell, a sophomore infielder, was awarded the title of NAIA Softball Player of the Week for her remarkable achievements.
In the realm of men’s lacrosse, Joseph Bianchi, a senior midfielder from Benedictine (Kan.), stood out as the NAIA Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. His exceptional skills and leadership on the field earned him this prestigious recognition. Sam Bowling, a senior goalkeeper from Concordia (Mich.), was also celebrated as the NAIA Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, showcasing his talent in protecting the goal.
