Nanaimo Dance Duo Funkanometry Places Second in Canada’s Got Talent Finale
Nanaimo-based dance duo, Funkanometry, showcased their incredible talent on the Canada’s Got Talent Season 3 finale, ultimately finishing in second place.
Competing against a diverse range of acts from across the nation, Funkanometry, consisting of Carlow Rush and Jacksun Fryer, captivated audiences with their mesmerizing dance routines on the popular CityTV show.
Despite their outstanding performance that impressed judges including Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall, Funkanometry fell just short of clinching the top spot, narrowly losing to singer Rebecca Strong from Prince Albert, Sask.
Rebecca Strong claimed the coveted title of Canada’s Got Talent champion and also secured the largest cash prize in Canadian television history for her rendition of Adele‘s hit song, “Rolling in the Deep.”
Throughout the competition, Funkanometry stood out as a fan favorite, with dedicated supporters rooting for them on social media platforms and during the live finale.
Before reaching the finale, Funkanometry showcased their exceptional skills alongside other Victoria talents, including operatic soprano Holly Melville, comic actor Shawn O’Hara, and comedian Maninder Waraich.
