NDSU Pro Day Highlights Top Prospects Ahead of NFL Draft

FARGO, N.D. — Thirteen North Dakota State University football players showcased their skills at the annual Pro Day on March 27, exceeding expectations in front of 27 NFL teams at the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex. This event comes as the NFL Draft approaches, set for April 24-26 in Green Bay.
Nick Kubitz, a former Bison linebacker, made a significant impression, recording the highest vertical jump of 41 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 9 inches. “I felt well-prepared, and the results reflect the hard work I’ve put in,” Kubitz said after the event.
Quarterback Cam Miller, who was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, made a strong case for himself by completing 48 of 48 passes during his drills. “It was a great opportunity to show what I can do,” Miller remarked, noting the pressure of the day was palpable.
Defensive lineman Eli Mostaert also drew attention, showcasing agility and speed while scoring 26 reps in the bench press alongside offensive lineman Mason Miller, who set the day’s best with 29 reps at 225 pounds. Mostaert acknowledged, “Every rep counts, and I think I showed my strength. I’m ready for the next level.”
Another notable prospect, tight end Joe Stoffel, who holds the record for most receptions by a tight end in NDSU history, is keen to catch the attention of scouts despite being undersized at 6-foot-3 and 237 pounds. His agility tests performed well, leaving the door open for potential undrafted free agent opportunities.
In contrast to the standout performances, several players faced challenges that may hinder their draft prospects. Last season’s impactful players, such as Hunter Poncius and Marcus Sheppard, will have to prove they possess the physical attributes required to transition successfully to the professional stage.
The showcase drew a diversity of talent, with teams closely evaluating a mix of young stars and seasoned veterans vying for their spot in the league. Each player’s performance will be scrutinized as they hope to secure spots on NFL rosters.
As the players continue to prepare, excitement builds for the upcoming NFL Draft and the opportunity to transition from collegiate football to the professional arena.
