New Rumors Spark Excitement for Black Panther 3
LOS ANGELES, CA — Fans of the Marvel universe are buzzing over fresh rumors regarding the next Black Panther movie. Reports suggest that Black Panther 3 will continue the existing storyline while introducing new characters to the world of Wakanda.
Though Marvel has not confirmed a third film, insider MyTimeToShineHello tweeted that “While they are introducing more Black Panthers she will remain the main one for years to come,” referring to Letitia Wright‘s role as Shuri. Wright took on the Black Panther mantle following the passing of Chadwick Boseman in 2020.
Wright recently expressed her enthusiasm for continuing her character’s journey. During an appearance on The View in June 2024, she stated, “I would like to continue with Shuri. She’s one of my favorite characters.” When asked about the film’s future, she smiled and said, “There’s a lot coming up.”
The speculation intensified after actor Damson Idris was seen with Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda, at the Vogue World: Hollywood event. Photos showed Idris in a black suit alongside Bassett, sparking rumors that he could portray a new T’Challa or Prince Toussaint, a character introduced in Wakanda Forever.
A viral caption stating “yeah that’s T’Challa” attracted over 1.5 million views, further fueling the speculation. In a previous interview, when asked about becoming the next Black Panther, Idris humorously replied, “Yes-no!” while expressing interest in the role if offered.
Director Ryan Coogler has expressed hope that stories about Wakanda will continue long after the original cast is gone. His comments suggest Marvel’s commitment to exploring the nation’s legacy and future characters, ensuring that the essence of Wakanda remains vibrant.
As the anticipation builds, the combination of Wright’s dedication, Idris’s interest, and Coogler’s vision suggests a promising future for the Black Panther franchise. Fans eagerly await more updates as the studio continues to develop this next chapter.
