New York Jets Undrafted Free Agents Seek Roster Spots for 2025 Season

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — The New York Jets are preparing to evaluate their undrafted free agent class for the 2025 NFL season. With 15 reported signings, the team’s new regime under head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey is eager to find hidden talent.
In previous seasons, the Jets found success identifying talented undrafted players like Bryce Huff and Tony Adams. Glenn, serving as the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, kept at least one undrafted rookie on the 53-man roster each year, most notably cornerback Jerry Jacobs, who became a starting player.
Among the new signings, several have a chance to make an impact. Wide receiver Zach Miller had a solid career at Rutgers, catching 59 passes for 757 yards and four touchdowns. Although he faced challenges with dropped passes, his speed and athleticism in the slot position could pique the Jets’ interest.
Linebacker Cameron Bartlett, who had 7.5 sacks at Cincinnati, and cornerback J.D. Clark, who possesses good football instincts, also have the chance to impress coaches during training camp. The Jets are looking for depth, especially in linebacker and defensive back positions.
Quarterback J.J. Cook, with a strong athletic profile and decent efficiency, adds another layer of competition. Despite declining accuracy over time, his experience and rushing ability make him a candidate to fight for a roster spot.
Another noteworthy player is running back Donovan Edwards, who boasts impressive production from past seasons but faced inconsistency in his later years. His versatility as a pass-catcher might enhance his chances of securing a place on the team.
As the team prepares for training camp, attention will be on which undrafted players stand out. The Jets hope to replicate their past successes and unearth more diamonds in the rough from this year’s class.
