New York Powerball Tickets Win $50,000 Prizes in Recent Draw

ALBANY, N.Y. — Two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in New York following the drawing on Feb. 17, according to officials from the New York Lottery.

The winning tickets matched four white balls and the red Powerball number during the drawing. One ticket was purchased at Link Park, located at 764 Park Ave. in Huntington, while the other was sold at A Plus Mini Market at 128 North Main St. in New City, New York.

The winning numbers from that drawing were the white balls: 4, 44, 47, 52, 57, and the red Powerball number was 9. In the Powerball game, players draw from a field of one to 69 for the white balls, and the red Powerball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order along with the red Powerball.

Powerball tickets are available for purchase at any authorized New York Lottery retailer for $2, seven days a week. The cutoff time to buy tickets is 10 p.m. on drawing nights, which occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m. Players are encouraged to purchase tickets early to avoid long lines.

For added convenience, players can check their tickets securely using the New York Lottery app. Additionally, tickets can be ordered online, allowing users to never miss a draw again. New customers can receive a free ticket with their initial deposit.
