2025 NFL Draft Projections: Top Picks and Rising Stars Revealed
GREEN BAY, Wis. — The 2025 NFL Draft, set to begin on April 24, is already generating buzz as analysts project top picks and rising stars. With the draft order still pending the outcome of Super Bowl LIX, teams are eyeing a mix of quarterbacks, edge rushers, and versatile playmakers to bolster their rosters.
Penn State edge rusher Carter is expected to be a top contender for the No. 1 pick, with analysts split on whether he or another standout will go first overall. “I think this Penn State product is either going first or second overall,” said one scout. “It really felt like Chad Brinker‘s comment boiled down to one of two players: Carter or another top prospect.”
Colorado‘s Hunter, a dynamic wide receiver and cornerback, is also drawing significant attention. Despite the top two teams needing quarterbacks, Hunter’s versatility makes him a strong candidate for the Titans or Browns. “There are other ways to find a QB, but there is only one Hunter,” noted an analyst.
Miami quarterback Ward is another name to watch, with the Giants potentially eyeing him as a Year 1 starter. “I still need more time to percolate on whether Ward could be the Year 1 savior,” said a draft expert. “But the Giants probably feel compelled to pull the trigger here if they don’t go the veteran-QB route.”
Michigan defensive tackle Graham is projected to go fourth overall, with the Patriots likely addressing other needs in free agency. “Graham feels like a foundational piece for Mike Vrabel,” said one insider.
Other notable projections include Penn State tight end Warren, Boise State running back Jeanty, and Colorado quarterback Sanders. Jeanty, in particular, has been linked to Pete Carroll‘s coaching style, with one analyst quipping, “When everyone else is having trouble slotting Jeanty lower, I’ll give him to the coach he was meant to play for.”
As the draft approaches, the NFL Scouting Combine, starting Feb. 27, will provide further clarity on player rankings. With live coverage on NFL Network and NFL+, fans and teams alike will be watching closely to see which prospects rise to the occasion.
