Nfl Draft 2025 Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The 2025 NFL Draft kicked off Thursday night with a flurry of activity as teams made strategic selections at Lambeau Field. One of the most talked-about players, Shedeur Sanders, went undrafted in the first round, despite several quarterbacks being chosen.

The Tennessee Titans made the first overall pick, selecting quarterback Ethan Ward from Miami, who was praised for his leadership and dual-threat capabilities. General manager Jon Robinson emphasized, “We believe Ward can lead our franchise into a new era.” This selection marks a significant shift for the Titans, who have struggled to find stability at the quarterback position in recent years.

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded up for the second pick to select Travis Hunter, a versatile two-way talent from Colorado. “Hunter is the best player available and brings excitement to our roster,” commented Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke. He could play either as a top receiver or cornerback, making him a valuable asset.

At No. 4, the New England Patriots selected offensive tackle Tyree Campbell from LSU to enhance protection for quarterback Drake Maye. Campbell’s performance in the SEC impressed, prompting the Patriots to claim, “He’s a foundational piece for us,” as stated by head coach Bill Belichick.

Graham from Michigan was drafted fifth by the Cleveland Browns, addressing their urgent need for a defensive tackle. General manager Andrew Berry noted that Graham’s skills will significantly improve the defensive line for the Browns.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears chose tight end Ben Loveland at No. 10, aiming to provide quarterback Caleb Williams with additional offensive firepower. “Loveland fits perfectly with how we want to run our offense,” remarked Bears’ senior director of player personnel Jeff King.

As the first round concluded, the Green Bay Packers ended a long wait, selecting receiver Matthew Golden from Texas. This marks the first time the Packers have chosen a wide receiver in the first round since 2002. “Matthew has the speed and skills we need, especially with our current depth concerns,” Packers GM Brian Gutekunst stated.

The draft will continue with rounds two and three starting Saturday at noon ET. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see how teams will further shape their rosters.
