2024 NFL Season Schedule: Key Dates, Matchups, and International Games
The 2024 NFL season, the 105th season of the National Football League, is well underway, having started on September 5, 2024, with the NFL Kickoff Game where the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens.
The regular season will run until January 5, 2025, with each of the league’s 32 teams playing 17 games and having one bye week. The final weekend of the regular season will feature intra-division games, a tradition that has continued since 2010.
Several notable matchups are scheduled in the coming weeks. On November 7, the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Baltimore Ravens, and on November 10, the New York Giants will play the Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany, as part of the NFL International Series. This game will be held at Allianz Arena, marking one of the five international games this season.
In addition to the international games, the NFL has also scheduled three Thanksgiving Day games on November 28. These include Chicago at Detroit, the New York Giants at Dallas, and a primetime game featuring Miami at Green Bay. Another game, Las Vegas at Kansas City, is set for the Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving.
The playoffs will begin on January 11, 2025, and the season will culminate with Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Pro Bowl is scheduled for February 2, 2025, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
The flexible scheduling rules continue this season, allowing for adjustments to Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games, as well as increased cross-flexing of Sunday afternoon games between CBS and Fox.
