Nicholas Pooran Reaches 100 Sixes Milestone in IPL Match Against RCB
Lucknow Super Giants‘ batsman Nicholas Pooran achieved a significant milestone during the IPL match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru when he hit his 100th six in the tournament.
The explosive innings from Pooran included a remarkable 106-meter six, only his second of the innings, that thrilled the crowd. This achievement places Pooran 36th on the list of players with 100 or more sixes in IPL history.
In a display of sheer power hitting, Pooran smashed five sixes in his unbeaten 40 runs off just 21 deliveries against the RCB bowlers, particularly targeting the deliveries of pacer Recce Topley and Mohammed Siraj.
Prior to Pooran’s fireworks, LSG opener Quinton de Kock provided a solid start, scoring 81 off 55 balls to set the foundation for a competitive total. De Kock’s aggressive knock included 8 fours and 5 sixes which put RCB on the back foot early in the innings.
Andre Russell is the only player with a better balls/six ratio among the 36 players with 100+ sixes in IPL, showcasing Pooran’s ability to clear the boundary with consistency.
