North Georgia Weather Update: Light Rain Expected Midweek

ATLANTA – North Georgia began its week on Monday under mostly cloudy skies, with only a few sprinkles and isolated light showers expected throughout the day.
According to the FOX 5 Atlanta Storm Team, while clouds dominate the skyline, there is a possibility that the skies may clear later, allowing for some sunshine. Gusty winds from the east are expected to continue at around 20 miles per hour, similar to conditions observed on Sunday.
A slow-moving cold front is anticipated to approach Georgia by midweek, increasing the chances of rain on Wednesday, especially for areas in the north and northwest. Forecasters predict that even with this system, rainfall accumulations will likely remain light and scattered, offering little relief to ongoing drought conditions in the region.
As the front passes, residents can expect cooler, drier, and more pleasant weather for the latter part of the week and into the weekend.
Today’s forecast for Monday includes mostly cloudy and breezy conditions with a high of 82°F and a low of 65°F. On Tuesday, partly cloudy skies will persist with temperatures reaching up to 83°F and a low of 64°F. Rain and possible storms are forecasted for Wednesday, with a high of 83°F and a low of 63°F. Thursday will bring cooler, drier air with a high of 75°F and a low of 55°F. By Friday, sunny conditions will return, with highs around 72°F and lows near 50°F.
Weekend predictions indicate continued sunshine with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s, rounding out a beautiful October week in North Georgia.
