Notice of Closures for Labour Day in Greenview

Greenview residents are advised of the upcoming closures for Labour Day on Monday, September 2, 2024. All administrative and public service buildings, as well as landfills and transfer stations, will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The following facilities will be closed: the DeBolt Public Service Building, the Grande Cache Public Service Building, the Greenview Administration Building in Valleyview, and the Grovedale Public Service Building.

Additionally, the Agricultural Services Buildings located in Valleyview and Grovedale will also be closed, along with the Green View Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) offices in Grande Cache and Valleyview.

Operations Buildings in Valleyview and Grande Cache, along with the Field Services Office in Valleyview, will not be operational on this day. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly.

On Labour Day, the Grande Cache Tourism and Interpretive Centre will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for visitors.

It is important to note that all transfer stations and landfills will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024. Specific closure details include the Grande Cache Landfill, which will remain closed on Saturday, August 31, and will resume regular hours on Tuesday, September 3. Transfer sites will be open during regular hours on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1, but will close on Labour Day.

Furthermore, there will be no commercial waste pickup in Grande Cache on September 2, with services rescheduled for Tuesday, September 3. Residential waste collection will occur on the same day.

The Grande Cache Recreation Centre will operate on a modified schedule on September 2, 2024. The Facility and Fitness Centre will be open from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, while public swimming and WIBIT activities will be available from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
