Nuggets Fall Short Despite Braun’s Highlight Dunk in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Denver Nuggets are positioned for another shot at the NBA Playoffs, but their latest outing against the Milwaukee Bucks ended in disappointment as they fell 121-112 Thursday night.
Despite trailing for most of the game, a moment of brilliance came late in the fourth quarter from rookie guard Christian Braun. The former Kansas standout electrified the crowd by taking a pass from Nikola Jokic and executing a thunderous dunk over Bucks center Brook Lopez, marking one of the game’s highlights.
Jokic, who recorded a triple-double with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists, praised Braun’s effort, saying, “Moments like that energize the team. We need more of that intensity on both ends.”
Braun finished the night with 13 points and 10 rebounds, continuing to contribute effectively to the Nuggets this season. He is averaging 14.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while logging approximately 33 minutes on the court each night.
Although the Nuggets fought hard, they could not overcome the Bucks’ early lead. Denver will seek redemption as they face the Detroit Pistons Friday night, aiming to bounce back from this defeat.
The Nuggets remain focused on their playoff aspirations as the regular season winds down. Coach Michael Malone emphasized the importance of learning from setbacks, stating, “We’re a team with championship aspirations. It’s crucial for us to use games like this to grow.”
