NVIDIA Releases GeForce Driver for DOOM: The Dark Ages Launch

Santa Clara, California – NVIDIA has launched its new GeForce Game Ready Driver (version 576.40 WHQL) in preparation for the upcoming release of DOOM: The Dark Ages. The game is set to launch on May 15, 2025, but early access begins on May 13 for those who purchased the Premium Edition.
This latest driver optimizes performance for DOOM: The Dark Ages, which features native idTech8 ray tracing technology, enhanced by DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex. These technologies aim to provide a seamless gaming experience on the latest GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.
NVIDIA states that the combination of these tools could yield a significant increase in frame rates, allowing players to enjoy smoother gameplay while experiencing high-quality graphics. The driver also supports updates for New World: Aeternum and introduces support for 15 new and updated NVIDIA app DLSS overrides, as well as new G-SYNC compatible displays.
DOOM: The Dark Ages offers players a chance to step into the role of the DOOM Slayer in a dark, medieval world. Leveraging the capabilities of the GeForce RTX 50 Series, it promises stunning visuals and rapid gameplay. The game emphasizes AI-powered NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology to boost frame rates and improve image quality further.
A post-launch update is expected to introduce Path Tracing, advancing ray-traced lighting functionality. Notably, the game also incorporates features meant to reduce latency, enhancing the speed and responsiveness of player actions.
For those interested, NVIDIA is offering a bundle where purchasing a qualifying graphics card or gaming laptop will reward players with the Premium Edition of DOOM: The Dark Ages. This package includes early access benefits and exclusive extras such as campaign DLC, digital soundtracks, and custom skins.
The Game Ready Driver 576.40 is available now and includes fixes for various issues, aimed at providing an optimal gaming experience for both DOOM: The Dark Ages and other titles utilizing GeForce technology.
