NORMAN, Oklahoma – Four members of the Oklahoma men’s golf team received national recognition as PING All-Americans, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on June 9, 2025.
Oklahoma’s selections included second-team honorees and two honorable mentions. The team, led by 16th-year head coach Ryan Hybl, has seen a total of 35 All-America selections during his tenure, with multiple winners in eight of the last nine seasons.
Junior Patrick Summy, fresh off a strong performance in the Arnold Palmer Cup, earned his first All-America nod after a standout season. Summy clinched victories at the Maridoe Collegiate and had seven top-10 finishes this year. With a scoring average of -0.67 and 20 rounds in the 60s, he set a new OU single-season record.
Senior Logan Goodman became just the 12th three-time All-American in program history with his third-team selection in 2025. He completed his collegiate career with a scoring average of -0.31, the second-best in OU’s history, and has played the third most rounds in the program.
Sophomore Drew Cowan also received All-America recognition. He had a remarkable season, leading the Sooners with multiple top finishes, which included several top-10 placements. His scoring average ranks second in program history for two-year spans.
Freshman Kyle Van Gaalen earned honorable mention honors and was named to the GCAA Freshman All-America team. Van Gaalen recorded two runner-up finishes and secured a spot as the first OU freshman All-American since Goodman in 2022.
This achievement highlights Oklahoma’s overall success, marking their 14th consecutive NCAA Championships appearance and a return to match play for the seventh time since 2016. With the team finishing in the top 10 nationally for eight of the last nine seasons, the future remains bright for the Sooners.
