Oksana Baiul Lists $1.2M Mansion Amid Divorce and Career Changes

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana — Olympic gold medalist Oksana Baiul has listed her mansion for $1.2 million as she prepares to move back to Las Vegas amid a divorce from her husband.
Baiul, who represented Ukraine at the 1994 Winter Olympics in figure skating, expressed her heartbreak on social media recently. “Thank you, Shreveport! House is for sale, moving back to Las Vegas,” she wrote. “I love u all. I am sorry it didn’t work out.”
The 47-year-old figure skater shared that her aspirations of launching a skating school in Louisiana “did not come to fruition.” She explained, “I can’t make a living in Shreveport. Unfortunately, I can’t.” Baiul moved to Louisiana in 2022 with her husband Carlo Farina, purchasing the estate for $600,000.
On September 20, Baiul officially listed her five-bedroom, five-bathroom home for $1,195,000. The Georgian Italianate mansion was built in 1925 and has undergone extensive restoration in recent years, according to the listing. The property features a gated entrance, seven fireplaces, six garages, and an outdoor fountain.
The house is touted as “the most beautiful mansion in all of Shreveport,” and Baiul gave a virtual tour, reminiscing on her past. “I’ve made all of the money in the world, lost all of the money in the world. I’ve been married, now I’m divorced,” she said.
In August, Baiul announced her separation from Farina after ten years of marriage. The couple has a 10-year-old daughter who has returned to Las Vegas. “When I was in Vegas, and I just came back. We skated together,” Baiul said.
Baiul, who achieved fame as a teenager during the Winter Games, is set to join the Vegas Golden Knights organization to develop skating programs. “I personally never learn anything from success. I learn everything from tougher situations,” Baiul reflected. “I will miss Shreveport a lot. Thank you.”
