Ole Miss Baseball Game At Swayze Field

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss Baseball’s home opener against Arkansas State has been rescheduled to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, due to travel concerns related to winter weather affecting the Red Wolves. Ticket holders will receive details about parking and security changes via email on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.

The Rebels are coming off a successful opening weekend, where they secured victories over two ranked opponents, Arizona and Clemson, during the Shriners Children’s College Showdown. This strong performance has elevated the team’s confidence as they prepare for their first home game of the season.

Head coach Mike Bianco expressed optimist for the upcoming matchup. “It’s crucial for us to continue building on this momentum. Playing at Swayze Field is always special, and we’re excited to welcome Arkansas State,” he said.

In their season opener, Arkansas State struggled, losing two out of three games against Morehead State at home. The Red Wolves will look to bounce back against the Rebels, who are motivated to defend their home turf.

The pitcher for Ole Miss will be Tampa transfer RHP Alex Canney, who has not yet appeared in a game this season, boasting a 0.00 ERA. On the other side, Arkansas State will send RHP Jelle van der Lelie to the mound, who holds a 5.40 ERA.

Fans can watch the action live on SEC Network+, with Jake Hromada providing play-by-play and Keith Kessinger as the analyst. The game will also be broadcast on local radio with play-by-play by David Kellum and color commentary by Brad Henderson.

After facing Arkansas State, Ole Miss will continue their homestand with a weekend series against Eastern Kentucky, marking the start of a 13-game stretch at home.
