Paige DeSorbo Launches Sleepwear Brand After Leaving Summer House

NEW YORK, NY — Paige DeSorbo has announced her departure from “Summer House,” the Bravo reality show that catapulted her to fame in 2019. The 32-year-old reality star revealed her plans on Friday, embarking on a new venture as an entrepreneur with the launch of her sleep and loungewear brand, Daphne.
The brand debuted on Tuesday through a direct-to-consumer e-commerce site, showcasing a collection of 12 pieces ranging from three-piece pointelle sets to unique long sleep shorts. DeSorbo described the collection’s standout item, a sleep shirt named ‘Hannah’ after her best friend and podcast co-host Hannah Berner, as the “best sleep shirt ever.” Prices vary from $58 for a cami to $230 for a complete set.
“I feel like I’m giving birth tomorrow,” DeSorbo shared her excitement in an interview with Glossy. With a strong sense of branding, she aims to cater to a wide audience of millennials, reflecting her popularity from both her time on “Summer House” and her podcast, Giggly Squad.
DeSorbo admitted to hesitating on launching her line immediately after gaining fame, fearing she wouldn’t be taken seriously. However, she decided to fully embrace her reputation as someone who prefers cozy nights in over nightlife. “Finally, I was like, ‘Fuck it. I’m gonna lean into it,’” she said.
Partnering with Concept Brands, a Los Angeles incubator, DeSorbo worked meticulously to choose the right products for her line. Becca Erdman, co-founder of Concept Brands, praised her dedication to building a personal brand that transcends reality TV. “We knew Paige’s popularity was on the rise well beyond reality TV,” Erdman said.
DeSorbo’s journey into the fashion world has not been without its challenges. She expressed that presenting her vision to predominantly male investors was intimidating, yet she remained focused on making her brand authentic. “What I was most concerned about was that this would be my company and always stay my company,” DeSorbo confirmed, stating she is the majority owner.
The products incorporate her personal style, including thin waistbands and longer shorts, inspired by her childhood pajama favorites. DeSorbo envisions her customers as a diverse group, from college students to young professionals, looking for stylish yet comfortable loungewear.
With a strong social media presence of over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, the brand has already gained traction, gaining over 111,000 followers on its Instagram account within days of the launch. “I’m really proud of it,” DeSorbo said, expressing her excitement for the future of Daphne. “I will do Daphne forever.”
