Papenhuyzen Scores On Return As Storm Play Dolphins To Thrilling Draw

Ryan Papenhuyzen marked his comeback from injury with a spectacular try as the Melbourne Storm battled the Dolphins to an electrifying 18-18 draw at Suncorp Stadium.

In a game filled with nail-biting moments, the Storm’s Papenhuyzen found the try line in the 11th minute, courtesy of smart play from Tyran Wishart and Grant Anderson.

The match started with an early score from Kenny Bromwich in the ninth minute, following a positional change due to Jack Bostock‘s absence from the game due to injury protocols.

Euan Aitken’s try gave the Dolphins the lead, only for Tyran Wishart to level the scores with a brilliant effort soon after.

However, Trai Fuller‘s quick play saw the Dolphins regain the lead before Jahrome Hughes ensured the scores were even at half-time with a display of ingenuity.

The eagerly contested game continued to deliver excitement in the second half with notable contributions from players like Jamayne Isaako and Josh King.

Tevita Pangai Junior’s impactful play added to the intensity of the match despite a controversial interchange situation for the Dolphins.

Ryan Papenhuyzen’s heroic chase to stop Jamayne Isaako’s length-of-the-field try showcased the competitive spirit of the players on the field.

The game ended in a draw with both teams demonstrating exceptional skill and determination throughout the match.
