Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, who has led the Nittany Lions to the College Football Playoff semifinals, has had a constant supporter by his side since high school: his longtime girlfriend, Emma Bush. The couple, who began dating in 2019 while attending Medina High School in Ohio, have maintained their relationship despite attending different colleges. Allar is a standout player at Penn State, while Bush is a pre-law student at Ohio State University.

Allar, now in his third year at Penn State, has guided his team to the semifinals of the 2024-25 College Football Playoffs, where they will face Notre Dame in Miami on Jan. 9. The winner will advance to the College Football Championship on Jan. 20. Bush has been a vocal supporter of Allar, frequently traveling the 325 miles from Ohio to Pennsylvania to cheer him on at Beaver Stadium.

“Love you so much,” Bush commented on one of Allar’s Instagram posts following Penn State’s quarterfinal win over Boise State on Dec. 31. Allar responded, “I love you too.” The couple’s relationship has been well-documented on social media, with Bush sharing moments from their time together, including a photo of them hugging before a game in October 2022.

Bush, a junior at Ohio State, is studying strategic communications and business with aspirations of attending law school. She has interned at Clark & Lowe Attorneys At Law in Columbus and works as a reporter for Ohio State’s campus newspaper. During her freshman year, she joined the Tri Delta sorority, sharing her excitement on Instagram with the caption, “Ran home to the 229.”

Despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship, Allar and Bush have remained close. Their bond dates back to their high school days in Medina, Ohio, where they attended school dances together. After graduating in 2022, Allar committed to Penn State, while Bush chose Ohio State. Their relationship has continued to thrive, with Bush often traveling to support Allar during his games.

As Allar prepares for the semifinal showdown against Notre Dame, Bush has already arrived in Miami, sharing glimpses of her trip on Instagram Stories. The couple’s enduring relationship serves as a testament to their commitment to each other, even as they pursue their individual goals at different universities.
