Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, and his wife, Cristina Serra, were among the distinguished guests at Wimbledon’s Centre Court, where they joined a plethora of prominent sporting personalities.

The crowd playfully booed Guardiola as he entered the Royal Box, in the company of former England manager Roy Hodgson and England women’s captain Leah Williamson.

The esteemed attendees also included England cricket stalwarts Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, along with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Olympic icons like Jessica Ennis-Hill, Chris Hoy, Jason Kenney, Laura Kenny, Ben Ainslie, Adam Peaty, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean graced the event, alongside Paralympians Hannah Cockroft and Kadeena Cox.

Rugby luminaries Lawrence Dallaglio and Gareth Edwards were also present to witness the Wimbledon excitement.

Guardiola has often expressed his admiration for tennis, likening the intensity of City’s battles with rivals to the tenacity displayed by the three tennis greats Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.

He emphasized the hard work and resilience displayed by these players as a source of inspiration for him and his team, emphasizing the importance of perseverance even in the face of defeats.

The day also saw tennis stars, Cameron Norrie and Alexander Zverev, in a captivating match on Centre Court.
