2025 Pga Championship Quail Hollow Club

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The PGA of America has announced the full field for the 2025 PGA Championship, which will take place at Quail Hollow Club from May 15-18. This year’s competitive lineup includes many top golfers familiar to fans, such as Masters champion Rory McIlroy, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, and two-time U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau.

Nearly 30 major champions are slated to compete alongside 14 PGA Championship winners. Notably, 15 members from the LIV Golf series will also tee off at the prestigious event, including Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.

Rickie Fowler, who recently ranked No. 125 in the Official World Golf Rankings, also received an invite despite not meeting the usual requirements. Fowler’s return to Quail Hollow marks 13 years since he clinched his first PGA Tour victory there. He will be aiming for his first major start since the 2024 Open Championship.

Another golfer to watch will be two-time major champion Dustin Johnson, who secured an entry after missing the past major championships. Johnson’s absence from the PGA was unexpected, given his distinguished history, and he looks to reestablish himself in this major event.

As expected, the tournament field will host 156 golfers vying for the Wanamaker Trophy. With qualifiers including all PGA winners and recent major champions, the event promises fierce competition for the title at the well-regarded Quail Hollow.

Leading the list of competitors, Rory McIlroy is keen to showcase his skills again. Scheffler, fresh off a win at the Byron Nelson, stands as his closest rival. The course, known for its challenging layout, requires skill in driving distance and iron play, conditions that favor McIlroy.

As the tournament date approaches, interest in the final lineup swells, with many hoping to see familiar faces in the contention for golf’s prestigious title.
