Alex Cooper Wedding Docuseries Hulu

NEW YORK — Podcaster Alex Cooper shared an intimate look at her relationship with husband Matt Kaplan in her new docuseries, “Call Her Alex,” debuting on Hulu on June 10, 2025. The two-part series, which premiered during the Tribeca Festival on June 8, offers fans a glimpse into their wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, held on April 6, 2024.

In a Q&A session during the premiere, Cooper revealed they filmed their entire wedding, but only select moments made the final cut. Reflecting on the process, she stated, “I was filming it and I’m like, ‘Okay, these people don’t need to see my whole f—— wedding.’ But it was so fun to rewatch it. I hadn’t seen the footage, and when I got the footage, I was like, oh my God, this is so beautiful.”

One highlight featured in the series was the emotional moment when Kaplan and Cooper exchanged vows. Cooper praised her husband saying, “You inspire me every day. You’re the most passionate about the people you love. Fiercely loyal, it’s almost scary at times.” Kaplan reciprocated with heartfelt words, reminiscing about their quiet conversations and cherished moments together.

Cooper noted the unprecedented level of exposure during the filming. “You’re really seeing me in my life with my husband. I know you guys know how private Matt and I usually are, but I think this was a goal to show a little bit more,” she said.

The docuseries also addresses Cooper’s experiences during her time at Boston University, where she alleged she experienced harassment from a coach. Cooper shared her hesitations in discussing these painful memories on camera but affirmed the importance of speaking out.

<p“Sometimes it’s my favorite part,” Cooper said about her prior control over her content. “But I think it was good that I didn’t do the edit… thank God someone took it away from me.”

As viewers prepare for the series launch, Cooper remains focused on giving an authentic portrayal of her life while grappling with her past. “I immediately knew without a doubt that it was time for me to speak up,” she concluded. “This story is not just mine; it’s the story of many women.”
