Polish Presidential Election 2025: Exit Poll Results and Reactions

WARSAW, Poland — The second round of the 2025 Polish presidential election took place on Sunday, and the exit poll results have sparked significant reactions from both candidates’ teams. According to an Ipsos exit poll commissioned by TVP, TVN, and Polsat, candidate Rafał Trzaskowski leads with 50.3% of the vote, while Karol Nawrocki follows closely with 49.7%. The results come with a statistical error margin of ±2 percentage points.
As the night unfolds, emotions are high, and a live coverage of the events is ongoing. A strong voter turnout suggests that the new president will have a robust mandate. However, this outcome serves as a warning to the current ruling coalition, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling promises or facing dire consequences in future elections.
Emilia Wierzbicki, spokesperson for Nawrocki’s campaign, commented, “This result is a tie. We must wait until the morning for the final count; the game is still on. I believe the excitement in Trzaskowski’s camp is premature. There is a significant number of refusals, which I suspect are our voters, given the context of these elections.”
In support of Trzaskowski, Wioletta Paprocka, head of his campaign, stated, “We will wait for all votes to be counted to confirm Rafal’s victory. The exit poll indicates a strong chance of it happening. This campaign has been longer than usual, lasting over eight months, and the energy in these final weeks was massive, certainly more than in 2023.”
Former President Bronisław Komorowski expressed concerns about the potential for post-election claims of fraud, referencing past events involving Donald Trump. Meanwhile, data from the exit poll revealed a tight race, with significant voter participation across many demographics.
As the night progresses, the anticipation for the official results from the National Electoral Commission grows, with expectations of more reliable late poll data expected around 11 PM.
Voter turnout has been exceptionally high, exceeding the similar record from the 2020 presidential elections. Supporters of both candidates remain hopeful and engaged, continuing to monitor updates as they await the definitive conclusions that will shape Poland’s leadership for the next five years.
